The close of 2016

Last year I wrote a post on this date, saying I couldn’t believe 2016 was nearly here, and here I am again, unable to believe another year has gone by so quickly. So quickly especially when I think of all the changes my life has had in such a relatively small space of time. The last day of the year is always a really introspective one for me and today is no different as I think about where I was 12 months ago and what’s happened between now and then.

This year I took 2137 screenshots in WoW, according to my screenshot folder count. Looking at the amount of pictures taken is a good indication of what I was up to in gaming throughout the year. The first half of the year has a smaller amount of WoW screenshots for each month. In March, there’s not a single WoW photo but my Skryim screenshot folder is full for that month. Then starting in June, my screenshots from WoW start building up again. July is when the WoW bug bit again and all other games got dropped pretty exclusively for WoW again and my screenshot count exploded again for each month onwards.

Narrowing 12 months of gaming down to just 1 picture from each month was a little tricky but below is a selection of screenshots taken through 2016.
