Mythic Spellblade deaded

After the guild got Krosus down last week, Spellblade was the next boss up in progression. We started a fresh raid on Wed and cleared the first 3 and then we tried to get Krosus down but our priest was away so we were healing with 2 druids and a pally and there just wasn’t enough direct heals with the two of us druids so we decided to go to Spellblade and start progression,  instead of beating our heads against Krosus. We were managing to consistently get to the end of the 2nd phase on the first night. Then Thursday night was a heroic clear so we didn’t go back to Spellblade.

Fast-forward to tonight and it was a whole night on Spellblade. We got to a heartbreaking 0.4% wipe, then a bunch of terrible early phase wipes, then a 2.7% wipe and then we had the last attempt where it all came together and her health was inching down with a ton of people still alive and then she was dead. For pretty much the entire last 10% of her health I had the absolute jitters.

Out of all the bosses I’ve seen so far, Spellblade is my favourite fight. It’s a glorious juggling act of making sure the right 8 people get and keep the mark of frost between themselves, drop the pools of frost and fire in the right places and then dodge the balls. It was probably the most intense healing fight I’ve done in a really long while too. The sheer amount of damage that goes out with high stacks of mark was phenomenal. I absolutely love guardian affinity here for the frenzied regen healing.

And to make the night even better, I was made core raider at the end of tonight which was really exciting. I was hoping I was going ok, but each time my healing would be lower or I’d die on a mechanic I was sure I’d get the “thanks but you’re not what we’re looking for’ talk. But nope, I got in. This I’m really excited about.

Tomorrow night we start on Tichondrius. We probably won’t be getting Gul’dan down before Tomb comes out but hopefully we’ll get a bit closer. So far for the last 3 weeks there’s been a progression boss die each week so that’s a really good start.

My god, I love raiding and I’m really excited I’m at 5/10M (6/10 when I get to go in on Krosus). I’m so glad I took a chance and came to try this guild out. Thanks to all the lovely people who listened to me ruminate over what to do.

14 Boss night!

Last night was first night of raid after the reset, and marked the start of my 2nd week in the new guild. Neuro and I were talking to the Naz the GM about trial periods and he said they were typically for 3 weeks and we’d be told what we need to improve on if needed. So far, I’ve only received good feedback on my healing and not told to step up with anything, so I hope that means I’m going ok.  My healing’s fairly competitive with the other 3 healers, normally I sit 2 or 3rd on the meters out of the 4 of us though there are fights I’m last. Usually these are the fights where I’ve only used my tranq once compared to the others using their cds twice so I don’t feel I’m struggling healingwise.

I’m starting to feel more comfortable in the guild and learning voices so I know who is talking on discord without having to look at their name, but outside of running a mythic plus with some of the guildies, I haven’t really talked much to anyone apart from Naz. Once I feel familiar with people I don’t generally shut up but getting to that point takes time.

Naz had been talking about selling our heroic run this week to get gold into the guild for cauldrons and repairs. He decided to offer each spot at an amount of gold which I thought was ridiculously astronomical for a heroic run so I really didn’t think anyone would want to pay that for a raid but come last night he had 4 people in the run that had taken up the offer.

We cleared the first 2 and the last 2 bosses with only the main team so we could run master looter as there was a few specific trinkets people needed and then we pulled in the buyers and re-cleared the entire place on personal loot so they could get gear as well as the clear. 3 of the 4 seemed really new to the place and died relatively early on most fights  (or were asked to sacrifice themselves early on bosses that had mechanics that could wipe the raid  if not done well). The 4th did really well and was essentially as the same gear level as most of us which was interesting. I haven’t considered the idea of buying a run before, especially with the introduction of cross-realm group finder, getting into normal and heroic runs are quite easy now but I guess there are people who find this a viable option?

Even with the extra bodies, it was still a fairly quick run and awesome that we could clear 14 heroic bosses in one raid night (4 before and then the full 10). I managed to get two small upgrades; Neuro picked up tier shoulders, which were an upgrade from the ones I had on and as he didn’t need them, really nicely passed them over and I bonus rolled a relic from Botanist which was a small upgrade as well.  I’m really not that happy with the relics I have so they’re my biggest priority for upgrades at the moment.

We’re going into mythic prog tonight so fingers crossed that Chron and Trill both hand over relics and then hopefully Krosus will die tonight. There’s a new warlock trial in the guild and his damage last night was really good, so hopefully 3 healing and with his damage should mean enrage timer isn’t hit again.

And in really good news, Deadline has found a guild that they can potentially merge with and keep raiding. After Neuro and I left,  a couple more raiders said mythic wasn’t their thing and decided not to keep raiding and the GM decided he wanted a long-term break and wouldn’t be coming back either. I was feeling a bit disappointed they were having even worse roster troubles and facing a leadership problem but hopefully this will work out great and they can all kill bosses still mostly together.

So everyone keep your fingers crossed that I can say we’re one more prog boss up tomorrow. If not, I’m sure I’ll find something else to ramble about.

Mythic Botanist down!

I’ve been with the new guild for a couple of days now and so far they seem quite nice. Pretty noisy on discord which is fine and usually has me laughing a lot behind the scenes.  Outside of raid I haven’t really done much with them apart from running the timewalking dgns with one of druids from the raid team (there are 7 of us! 2 guardians, 2 resto, 2 balance and a feral!) which was a good introduction so at least at our first raid night I already knew one of the guildies a bit.

The first raid night on Wed we started mythics straight away and I was in for the kills on Skorpy and Chron (yay new ach) and then I sat for Trill as we were dropping a healer for Botanist progression (we had been 5 healing Chron) so they had me sit out so the healer that was sitting had a chance to raid for a bit as they wouldn’t be coming back in for the rest of the night.

They had Chron on farm for quite a few weeks now so I felt like it was pretty much a carry though my tranqs were needed during power overwhelming.  They have the raid set up so if you’re moved into group 5, you’re sitting for that fight. I might need to make vuhdo hide group 5 because it changes the size and direction of my panels once there’s more than 4 groups and it’s distracting having it show a group that isn’t actually in the raid.

We spent the rest of Wed night on Mythic Bot. Botanist was interesting, it’s a freaking chaotic fight at the best of times and mythic version just gets worse. You start with all 3 bosses up and when one dies, the other 2 reset to full health and the abilities that boss had is combined into the other 2 bosses abilities.

The team pretty much had P1 and P2 under control so for them the real progression was on P3 but for me, P2 onwards was completely different (P1 is the same as P3 on Heroic, just hits harder). I picked up the changes for P2 pretty quickly though a few times I touched a spore and got the debuff and got called out for it. You can bet that not touching spores became a huge priority! (as the night went on I realised I wasn’t the only one that was getting called out for it but I didn’t want to hear my name on vent for that reason again). P3 scared the hell out of me because if you get the call of night debuff you have to go kill yourself on the spores in a specific spot and I was so nervous about being in the right spot at the right time.

I felt like the biggest idiot when on one of our best attempts I dispelled the wrong tank and we wiped. I immediately apologised and the healing lead said it was fine, they had all had a lot of wipes/practice compared to that being my first night. After that a specific healer was assigned to dispel as they knew the voices. I had discord sitting open on my other monitor so when ppl spoke I could match voices to names but not everyone has the same discord name as their toon so it’s going to be a guessing game for a bit.

We didn’t end up getting him Wed night so on Thursday after clearing through a few heroic bosses we went back to Botanist progression. We were consistently getting through to P3 which was great and then we had an attempt where everything went really smoothly.

There’s so much to look out for; make sure you’re standing at the right marker with a person if you have call, avoid all the crap on the floor, stand next to spores but don’t touch them and I think for most of the attempts I was holding my breath. I ended up getting the first set of call of night debuff on the  kill attempt which meant I had to go kill myself in a patch of spores to avoid triggering a mechanic and to clear spores so it was great in a way that meant I could watch the fight but crap because being dead for so long I look terrible on the healer meters (I’m so competitive /sigh) but it was sooo exciting seeing his health just steadily dropping and then the ach come up.

I ended up bonus rolling mythic titanforged boots which were a massive 20ilvl upgrade! It’s exciting to have my first piece of mythic loot.

I asked if the guild takes screenshots after kills which they do, but rather than the line up I’m used to they tend to pop toys for the photos.

I love all the green bears! The two tanks are Guardian and both use the artifact skin that turns them bright colours. One is neon purple and the other is neon green so it’s very easy to pick them out in the middle of a fight.

Next boss up in the progression chain is Krosus and I’m fairly sure we’re only going to be 3 healing so a good chance I’ll be sitting, but I still better have my head around that fight by Sunday and then after that it will Spellblade. Most of the guilds on our realm that are 4/10M have killed Krosus as their 4th. Hopefully by killing Botanist which is harder,  it means Krosus should die quicker which would be a big boost to the guild.

All I hope now is that I actually make it through my trial and keep being a mythic raider because it’s an awesome feeling and I’ve really missed it.

We’re recruiting for Mythics

Sunday was raid night and true to form, 16 people turned up for what should have been a night of finishing the clear of Elisande and Gul’dan and then onto mythic progression. So the mythic bit obviously didn’t happen.  I’m so glad we at least did Mythic Skorpyron on Wednesday.

Needless to say I was rather disappointed in the turnout. We obviously have a relatively strong core of raiders but we really need to bump the roster up. I’ve been talking to a few guilds on my server the last day or so and most of them are having similar issues of a roster too large to merge with another guild but small enough that covering people being away is not easy.

So, if you’re interested in raiding 2 nights a week on Barthilas (horde side obviously), let me know. We’re recruiting! We’re looking mostly for reliable, mythic minded ranged dps who will turn up 2 nights a week. Social members are welcome to join the guild too.

Skorpyron.. our first Mythic Nighthold kill

I was really nervously watching the guild numbers tonight just before raid time and had my fingers crossed that we would have 20 log on. Luckily we did and then the next finger crossing was that we’d actually look at mythic before going to heroic. It’s probably no secret in my guild that I’m rather impatient to be working on mythic bosses, so I was utterly delighted that we did end up turning it to mythic and going to look at Skorpyron. And I’m so glad we did because he died! So now we’re 1/10M and I’m a very happy raider at the moment.

wowscrnshot_022217_210254

He is a much more interesting fight on Mythic;  instead of just one type of crystals that fall off him that you use to hide behind for shockwave, there are 3 different ones. Blue which act the same as in normal, green which do ticking damage to the raid and red which pulse and do aoe damage if you get within 5yards and which do large amounts of aoe to anyone in 15yards when the crystals are hit by shockwave.  There’s also an extra type of add that drops green goo pools on the ground. And the tether that the tanks have to deal with lasts longer so they have to dance around that more.

Despite the differences, he really wasn’t that much harder and we downed him fairly quickly. I was hoping that we’d go look at mythic Chronronmatic (of course I’d be hoping that) but other raiders were really worried we’d not clear heroic this week so we turned it to heroic and cleared up to Elisande. On Sunday we have the last 2 bosses in Heroic and then, fingers crossed depending on how many log on, some time on Chron.

Hopefully, everyone will actually look at what needs to be done on Chron. I was pretty surprised (and annoyed) that some people hadn’t looked at Skorpyron’s changes given we knew we’d be at him at least sometime this week. It’s the little things like not looking at boss fights that make me wonder if everyone’s priorities are all on the same page when it comes to raiding. Skorpy was obviously easy but moving forward they’re not going to be that easy and since we only raid 2 nights a week, people need to know what they are doing before they step into the raid so time doesn’t have to be wasted explaining fights. Hopefully that attitude changes as we go forward and people do the preparation.

I’m starting to sound like a negative nancy sometimes about my guild’s raiding mentality and it’s driving me nuts, I should just put the negatively aside and be super glad of our first mythic kill, which I am! But now I want the second one.

Random Tuesday Mutterings

Random Tuesday Mutterings is the perfect place to put the random assortment of what-nots I’ve got up to in Azeroth each week.

Well it was a week of being busy in both WoW and the Blizz universe. I went and did 15 games in Heroes of the Storm with Wingy for the Primal Flamesaber. I really don’t mind Heroes of the Storm as a game, though even at level 30 I still don’t feel confident  enough to want to play with real people, so I was really glad that we just did our matches against the AI.

z-and-wingy

And I dug and dug and dug and got a beautiful new archeology mount. I really like spectral models and this one is no exception, he is just so gorgeous.

wowscrnshot_021817_183544

I finally finished the Balance of Power questline. I was wondering why everyone in the raid group was getting their achievements and I wasn’t until I realised that one of the quests in my quest log that  I had been ignoring for weeks was from the quest chain.

The achievement unlocks some really lovely skins for the artifact weapons.

I can’t wait until I get the skin for doing 100 dgns with a hidden appearance and then I can start using the Balance of Power skin for Resto. The colourway I like the most comes from doing a mythic 15 in time but it’s blue and finding a transmog to match it might be a bit tricky because I don’t have any blue dresses for a leather wearer.

There was a world quest in mythic COS at the same time that the emissaries were for Nightfallen so Twice and I popped in there to make it count as one of the emissary quests,  and we randomly got an achievement for overhearing the conversation between Elisande and the final boss. I don’t know why I’m only getting it now, I’ve done that dgn so many times. But it’s one achievement off the list of dgn ones for Legion hero so I don’t mind. Now that we can duo mythic dgns, hopefully we can finish some achievements off and work towards the mount.

evesdropping-ach

Twice’s comment relates to his glaives – I really really like that appearance but he’s telling me they come from the balance of power questline. I doubt my DH will be in Nighthold anytime soon so probably won’t get them.

My Demon Hunter hit 110 with a full week of February to go! zidari-lvl-110

Now I have to choose a new class to level, I think it might be the Mage for March.

The love dgn run has been fantastic for catching up with friends quickly. I jumped into a few queues with Cinder the other night when she logged onto some horde characters. Another year down and no mount but there’s always next year!z-and-cinder

Twice created a new video for Nighthold:The Movie.  It’s such a beautiful raid, I love watching his videos  because I get to see so much that I miss during the actual fights. I am so blown away by  the Star Augur fight! I honestly have never looked out of his platform before watching the video tonight, so the 3 different planets we go and visit were brand new to me.

I can’t get over the planet taken over by the old gods and covered in void tendrils. Imagine if we could go see a world like that. And now, the fight also makes a lot of sense why we go through different phases, they line up with the 3 different planets we visit.

Seriously though this raid has got to be the most beautiful one in the game and Twice has taken some gorgeous shots of it. Well worth watching 🙂

And that was my random week in WoW. How was yours?

Moving through Nighthold, Elisande makes 9/10.

We walked in tonight straight onto Elisande and  we managed to get her down on the 2nd attempt. It was awesome to get her down so easily, I think a few of us were concerned we’d be on her for a while. A great upside of her dying early meant it would give us a lot of time to work on Gul’dan.

wowscrnshot_021217_203352

elisande-heroic

Her fight is really interesting but so damn chaotic, running around dodging rings of death and swirls of doom on the floor and popping in and out of bubbles. I ended up making a button bar that has just Bear form, frenzied regeneration and ironbark on it. I put it up next to Vuhdo, since my mouse is there, because I’m clicking those abilities. Having Guardian affinity for that fight was really handy because if I stuffed up dodging the ring of orbs, I could drop into bear and pop frenzied and it would heal me up for a decent chunk of the damage I had just taken.

We then spent the rest of the night on Gul’dan and our best and last attempt of the night had him at 13%  so fairly decent progression on him in one night but I was so hoping we would get him down. An extra raid night was put on the calender for tomorrow night to see if we can gather enough people to go back and have another look at him again before the lock expires but I don’t know if there will be enough interest.

After coming along with us via cross-realm for a couple of weeks, Neuro properly realm changed and rejoined our guild. It’s really great having Neuro back raiding with us. But it’s bittersweet under the circumstances he’s rejoined (Neuro’s friend/raid leader passed away and while the guild is moving forward, I guess for Neuro the feel without him is too different) and I know he’s probably missed back in Frostwolves. I’m trying to be cognizant of the reasons he’s back and not get too excited about how good it is in case I make him sad. But I love having him back, and I get to talk druid chatter to him as well which is especially great now that Drew has decided that Final Fantasy is more interesting and I lost my druid healing buddy.

Fingers crossed next week will see a full clear of Heroic NH but I’m not 100% sure if there is the same level of interest for moving into mythics across the whole raid team so that’s possibly going to have to be a bridge we cross when we get there. After the difficulty we had finding 20 for Emerald Nightmare, losing people now because of lack of interest is going to suck big time.  First though, Gul’dan has to fall over.

Raiding and Mythic Plus Dungeons

Last night was night 2 of our usual raid group so we went back in and picked up at Heroic Spellblade and we spent the majority of our raid night on her. Our main problem was we weren’t handling Phases 1 and 3 well at the start. Phase 1 had the Mark of Frost debuff go out on pairs of people and they needed to remove the debuff by running into each other and we had lots of fun and games where people would remove the debuff with the wrong pair, so you’d end up with someone with low stacks and someone with high stacks still left, or people’s health too low to stand the explosion that comes when the debuff is removed.. all those fun and game things which resulted in a lot of dead bodies too early into the fight.  We resorted to actually calling who was paired with who and the Marks started to be a lot less mis-managed. Still incredibly damaging though. I was really glad of Inner Peace for this fight as I could tranq 3 times during it.

I also took Incarnation which I very rarely take in raids but found it worked really well as a mini-cd during phase 2 where the fire ads were up. I had Trav our balance druid, innervate me during it so I could throw out instant mana-free regrowths, and the huge benefit of a balance druid innervate is that it comes along with a 10% haste buff for the duration of innervate! My innervate doesn’t include that little bonus.

Phase 3 was a lot of running away from purple bouncing balls and I was so glad of 2 monks, because we chained my tranq and their revivals through it. If we didn’t have mobile cooldowns for that phase I think it would have been much harder. I couldn’t imagine having to stand still and cast Divine Hymn like our priests do.

We had decided we’d stay on her until 10pm and then go look at another boss if we weren’t making headway and luckily she died right on 10pm. Half the raid went afk after it for a break so the screenshot below is just the ones that stayed around 🙂

spellblade-heroic

Then it was onto Krosus, who was so much easier. I had notes that our cooldowns would be used for Slam and for the Orbs that have to be ran out but I found that the orbs didn’t need any cds as long as it was run away enough and that Slam really did need cooldowns but we didn’t have enough to cover them all so we started soaking a few of the early slams so we’d have them up for the later ones when they seemed to get more damaging. I went back to cultivation so our shadow priest started stealing Trav’s innervate for the haste. I’m thinking about trying Incarnation again for next week because I could work using it into covering the slams that we were soaking.

Again no photo for Krosus, apparently if there’s no boss body, I forget about taking photos.  We had one pull on Star Augus because it was basically end of raid by the time we cleared trash to him and pretty much the entire raid exploded on one of his abilities. I think we all need to read up on the heroic version of that fight before we go look at him again.

I used our normal lock to go back into the and poke around and take more screenshots without any mobs to get in the way. I do love this raid so much. I’d seriously want to live there if I was able.

Then I went and ran a couple of Mythic Pluses with guildies. With the easier affix’s (Sanguine and Overflowing) I really wanted to do a few higher ones this week, so we did a Darkheart Thicket 13 and then Eye 14. I am seriously in love with Mythic pluses, they are such a challenge that also require you to think outside the box to get through and around pulls to make that timer.  Darkheart Thicket, we just made the timer in and got one chest out of there. It wasn’t too bad but the cats that jumped on me were nearly a one shot, every ability was pretty damaging.

Normally I run cultivation and germination in dungeons but I decided that we’d be up against some pretty strong and long boss fights as the 3rd affix was Tyrannical,  which meant increased boss health and damage dealt.  so I decided to try out incarnation. I’m actually really glad I did as it came in really handy as a mini cd on packs of mobs as well as all the bosses.

dht-13

The key upgraded to Eye 14 so we decided to give that a try as well. I was a bit nervous as the last Eye I tried was a 12 and it was pretty crap,  though we had wildly different affixes this time. It was actually not too bad, and we worked out way through to the last boss without too many troubles but then we got to the last boss. As the other 4 were melee, the Arcane Bomb debuff targeted me constantly and I screwed up taking it out to  a safe place so I died on the first two attempts. It meant we were just out of the timer which was not a nice feeling knowing if I hadn’t screwed up we would have made it.  On the third attempt I rifled through my bag and threw on a different combo of gear to change my stats to try to get more healing pumping out and was incredibly careful with taking Arcane Bomb out and we killed it.

eye-14

Dys looted a crit/haste ring which he didn’t want so kindly passed to me as I’m trying to increase my crit over haste for raids so any crit gear is welcome.

I’m ridiculously impressed by the amount of healing I put out on that one fight, but it also shows just how much damage was going out on everyone. I’ve started using Cenarian Ward quite a while before the pull, it lasts 30 seconds on a person then damage turns it into a heal so if I pre-cast it really early it’ll be up again not too long into the fight which helps with getting the max amount of hots onto the tank per fight.  And something I haven’t tried yet but really need to look at is using bear form and frenzied regeneration as it returns a lot of damage I take as healing so I can quickly heal up any big hits I take. It’s part of the Guardian affinity toolbox and something I haven’t been using at all, mainly taking Guardian simply for the damage reduction.

Next step is to actually beat the 14 timer and then I’ll be one step closer to getting into 15s. Since there’s an achieve for 15, that’s pretty much my focus. I’m so impressed by the people out there that are already running 20s, I can’t imagine how they’re getting through it, at 14 one mistake is pretty much a one-shot. I really hope I’ll be healing numbers like that by the end of the expansion.

Nighthold, visiting Guldan

Warning: Some of the photos are spoilers, especially the Gul’dan ones so be aware if you keep reading 🙂

It’s been a while since I’ve raided 3 nights in a row but it was really awesome there were enough people in the guild that were interested to keep coming back until we cleared Nighthold and could see the full raid.

We went back in the night after the official guild raid and got the 7 of the bosses cleared through on normal. We flew through the first 3 as we had already done them on heroic and we knew the fights and the damage/mechanics were a lot easier on this difficulty. Spellblade Auriel went down really easily compared to her heroic counterpart who had caused us trouble, but we used a different positioning for her fire adds which should help in heroic. We placed them in a semi circle around her, rather than off the side, so melee dps didn’t have to take time out to run to them.. which would have been awesomely easy compared to where we had been stacking them in heroic except we found in normal the adds don’t stay in the one place but instead run around once they spawn. Oh well, at least the pools they spawned from were placed nicely.

spellblade

I loved the Krosus fight, but didn’t take any photos, no idea what I was distracted by. But you’re on a bridge that he slowly demolishes side by side, so it’s a lot of ducking back and forth across it and avoiding a laser beam he shoots out. He kindly telegraphs which side he’s going to shoot it out by raising his arm so you have lots of time to move. He’d be no good in poker with such obvious tells I think.

wowscrnshot_011917_210914

Tichondrius was quite fun too, we all stayed stacked up on once side until carrion plague went out and then the plagued people ran away to the other side and stayed there so they didn’t infect us and then we ducked behind pillars he spawned at times. Apparently the pillars are more fragile in heroic so you have to be aware of how many people are stacking behind each one but in normal there wasn’t restrictions so we all just clumped together. Tich also has a healer only debuff in phase 3 which summons an add when dispelled. I didn’t end up getting it once so it seems it wasn’t healer wide.

tich-normals

My absolute favourite fight was the Star Augur. His room was really beautiful to begin with before the fight and then during the fight the walls drop away and we’re up among the stars. It’s so gorgeous and the fight mechanically wise was probably one of my favourites as well.

We came back the third night and started at Botanist. Turnout was a bit lower and we had a raid of 10 at the start. I forgot how much I love smaller raid sizes (I used to only raid with 10 way back before flexible raids were a thing) and it was just 2 tanks, 2 heals and the 6 dps. There was a lot of movement in this fight and we had all melee with us, I think it would be a lot easier with some ranged to help run over and soak the spores that spawned. But we got it down even with this set up. The garden the Botanist fight is set in was another beautiful room. I seriously can’t get over how gorgeous this raid is. It’s definitely first place on my list for beautiful raids now.

Then it was onto the final two bosses. I was so excited going through the portal to see Elisande. She really plays with time in this fight summoning adds that drop bubbles that can slow down time which were handy for the rings of orbs that spawn, more orbs to find gaps for..

And then Guldan. I was so excited when we were finally standing in front of this boss. He took us a few goes to get the mechanics right. During the fight he does a knock back to a few people and tethers them to the ground and to break the tethers you need people in there with you to absorb the damage when the bonds break. We found pretty quickly that you can really easily be knocked off the edge if you’ve not got your back to the centre and you get targeted. He was probably the most damaging fight, which is what I’d expect from the end boss, so I think on heroic we might be on him for a bit.

The cutscence once he died was absolutely amazing. Toco had told me on Wednesday that I was going to love the Guldan cutscene and he was absolutely 100% correct. Omg I am so excited for the rest of the expansion to unroll.

Another really cool benefit of killing Guldan was I could go talk to Occuluth in Shal’aran and get a quest for my Arcanists Manasaber as part of finishing the Insurrection quest line. This is the same model that my Druid turns into in travel form when masked in Suramar city but with one huge difference… it can fly!

arcanists-manasaberarcanists-manasaber-2

I really loved seeing all of this raid, the fights were really interesting, and really varied which is great given how many bosses are in there and visually it is a stunning raid. By far one of the most beautiful raids I’ve seen. Given we’ll be in here for quite a few months to come, I’m really glad of the gorgeous scenery we’ll be surrounded by.
