Random Tuesday Mutterings

Random Tuesday Mutterings is the perfect place to put the random assortment of what-nots I’ve got up to in Azeroth each week.

This has been a really fun week in WoW. It’s Easter time in Azeroth so the first thing I did today was run down to Razor Hill and camp out on top of eggs so I could get the new Noblegarden bunny. Soo cute

Clicking on the eggs also turned me into a pink bunny!

Collecting the bunny pet led to turning into bunnies which somehow then led into the most ridiculous fun I’ve had in wow in a long while. Dec, Naz and I all met up in Orgrimmar and we started to play with the Dragon toys you get from Lunar Festival. I haven’t had anyone to test out all the pieces with before but Dec had them, so we used a reflecting prism to get Naz into a body and it skyrocketed.

We started to get people watching us walk around Org and Zuma was so funny taking selfies of us (and being all adorable in his pink dress and flowers), so we ended up pulling him into the party with us and getting him into a body part too. Then we took the show on the road and ended up in Dalaran. We had so many people come and join us, including more guildies and it was hilarious when the appearance timer would run out and we’d have to juggle body parts to make sure the people who didn’t have the toy stayed together in the right body part.

Seriously one of the best group toys there is.

And I found one of the best perks of flying is that you can get up on top of the Alliance’s tower in Dalaran and you can join with them in their little lounge area, and if you’re really careful you can go right down the stairs near to their portal area. Dec, Rix and I camped out there in between queuing for areanas and Rix and I tried to set up a Horde camp where they’d see it, but there were no Alliance around. Most disappointing 😦

I went back to HFC to see how far we could get for transmog/mounts and ended up clearing through the whole place. We were able to kill the first two bosses with just 2 people and then steadily pulled in friends and guildies as we went up through them. I really thought I had done some mythic with Deadline in there but I guess not as I got the achievement for every boss.

My priest got her weapon traits unlocked, I really need to get around to doing so much more on her, especially if she’s going to be needed for split runs. I’m really considering moving her to my second account so I can multi-box her and Zee at the same time and get everything done so much faster.

I was looking through achievements Z didn’t have and found one that gave a pet as a reward. In Stonelight Grotto in Highmountain, there’s a snail race and if you go slow the other snails down to let Zoom win, you get him as a reward. Apparently you can slow them with your body by making yourself bigger, but that didn’t really work for me. What did work was bringing out a Fragment of Desire pet and it luckily cast a stun on the other snails and Zoom could rush through.

And that was my week in WoW!

Random Tuesday Mutterings

Random Tuesday Mutterings is the perfect place to put the random assortment of what-nots I’ve got up to in Azeroth each week. I can’t believe this is nearly the last RTM for 2016. I wonder what 2017 is going to bring.

Once again I didn’t play over the weekend just gone, I went to sunny Qld and caught up with a ton of lovely wow players and had a weekend away from Azeroth. This is the last trip away for a while, so I should see a bit more playtime as my weekends usually are full of WoW.

I started levelling my DK again. She’s sitting at 106 and finished with her class order hall until she’s 110 now. I feel like that’s a massive gap and I would have thought there might be some quests around the 108 mark just to keep the story going.  I had to run a few dungeons for the order hall and initially chickened out of running them as tank so went off to get the Frost Weapon with the idea of dpsing instead.

I loved the story for the Frost weapon with it sending me back into ICC for fragments of Frostmourne to be remade into a new weapon. I had no one-handed swords apart from level 463 heirlooms so ended up just staying blood for the entire questing.

It was so interesting seeing the storyline that I immediately decided I wanted to see the last weapon quest and went and collected the Unholy weapon. Again, I just stayed blood.

wowscrnshot_122016_204927 wowscrnshot_122016_204606

It didn’t engage me as much as the blood and frost weapons story line did but it was still really interesting. When I was trying to quest outside Karazhan, I kept getting annihilated by 3 level 110 Alliance toons and I have to thank Tacky for coming to the rescue, as he did me a massive favour by pulling me onto a PVE realm so I could finish questing in peace. Some people are just utter dicks, I really don’t know what satisfaction 3 max level toons killing a levelling toon can bring.

Then I decided to que for the dgns I needed but the dps queue was taking a ridiculous amount of time so I stopped being a chicken and went and tanked Neltharian’s Lair and Darkheart Thicket. Both runs went really well, apart from the start of Neltharian’s Lair. I had started up Steam right as I entered and it started downloading automatically making my latency rise to over 1500ms, and it took ages to come back down even though I immediately quit Steam. Bad bad lag  combined with 2 110s who were easily doing 4 times my dps made holding threat almost non-existent at the start. Luckily things died fast enough that no one complained and once my lag settled down, it was a lot smoother for us all.

wowscrnshot_122016_222030

Darkheart Thicket was nice and easy as my ms was back down to the 20 it normally sits on.  I really love my blood DK (apart from her ridiculously slow run speed) and having Icebound Fortitude back since 7.1 is just awesome. I’m going to make an effort to get her to 110 over the weekend and finish her order campaign. I really have found it the most interesting out of the ones I’ve done so far.

Z finally got her paragon for Restoration. The first one gives 5% increase to healing and then every subsequent one after that is a 0.5% increase so I’m not going to be deliberately putting any more AP into her resto weapon.  I’m going to work at maxing out the other 3 weapons instead, starting with Feral.      wowscrnshot_122016_002804

I took Alliance and Horde toons over to the snow globes that have been added for this year’s Winter Veil. The globes are so pretty and it’s super cute being turned into Gnomes and Goblins.. but seriously my two toons are the most miserable looking elves ever. wowscrnshot_121916_202813  wowscrnshot_121916_193033

More Pets!! Z collected Broot from her seed plots. He is so cute so I’ll be keeping him out for a while. Still no hidden appearance for resto though yet. wowscrnshot_121416_080530

My Mage is normally my toon that farms the Winter Veil quest to rescue the stolen treats from the Greench up in Hillsbrad foothills as she has the Old Dalaran Crater portal to get up there quickly. With the same portal being put into Legion’s Dalaran I can pretty easily take any toon up there now.  But my Mage was still the first toon to go there this year, she got a Gaudy sweater out of the first present she opened though. It would be awesome if this was a toy.

And that was my week in WoW.

Next weekend is  Christmas so I can’t wait to see what goodies Z and all the girls will get to open up from under the tree!.

Random Tuesday Mutterings

Random Tuesday Mutterings is the perfect place to put the random assortment of what-nots I’ve got up to in Azeroth each week.

So this week consisted of mostly running all my toons through ICC, Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader for the last pets I needed for Raiding with Leashes IV. This one achievement has held my attention for pretty much the week. It might have been quicker had I realised that the last pet I needed, Drudge Ghoul, only dropped from normal versions of ICC as I was taking all the toons I could through 25H to combine Invincible farming with pet hunting.

I ended up taking 8 alts through there on a mix of normal and heroic  and it finally dropped for my Warrior who was also going to be my last alt for the week. Very lucky.

That meant I got the achievement  and the quest to go pet battle Algalon and then I finally had Stardust! What a gorgeous bunny.

I decided to go get my Pally her artifact weapon, mostly because I’m an absolute terrible Paladin and the artifacts are so OP that it meant I’d be able to fly through ICC even faster.

I really liked the Ashbringer story line and I was so excited to see my order hall. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s a little disconcerting to have Lady Liadrin following me though, I have an absolute Paladin crush on her and there’s no way I should be her boss. She’s probably just humoring me or something.

I did a bit more on my DK’s order hall campagin and got to go free Koltira from Sylvanas. He’s been stuck down in her dgn for quite a few years now. wowscrnshot_112816_232105

This would have been such a great screenshot if she had taken her clown coloured anniversary tabard off for it. Oh well, she still looks awesome. I absolutely love playing a blood dk. She’s so fun compared to all my other squishy toons. She just wades into the middle of everything and attacks constantly until everything’s dead. Love it!! Blood dk would actually be my most favourite class to play out of all of my alts.

wowscrnshot_112816_230602

Z’s been planting her Druid flowers looking for the restoration artifact hidden appearance. It hasn’t popped up yet, but she did get a Nightmare Lasher from it. Almost, actually probably more, exciting tbh.

On the subject of Z, I love this screenshot of her in Vault of the Wardens. We ran through a level 12 Mythic Plus tonight which was much easier than it should have been as the first 2 affixs were Sanguine and Overflowing.

Sanguine just means you move the mobs out of the pools that drop when other mobs die and Overflowing, which is a healing absorb shield put on and taken off by healing, is completely negated by a druid’s healing style. We didn’t quite make the timer but it still wasn’t anywhere near as hard as I would think a 12 should normally be. I’m looking forward to my cache tomorrow as the item that will be in there should be around the level of a mythic EN piece.

wowscrnshot_112916_215110

I also brought my level 98 Monk into the Broken Isles. At 98 she got the quest to go start the Legion questline. I was feeling exceptionally squishy as Windwalker so she’s going to be a Brewmaster for a bit. I’m about to faction change her and bring her back to the Horde to level. Levelling as Alliance on a mostly Horde populated PVP server is not my idea of fun.

wowscrnshot_112916_231028

I love that her order hall is back on the Wandering Isle. Server shutdown came about not long after she got to it, so I’ll have a good explore around it tomorrow and go get her Brewmaster artifact.

And that was my random week in WoW. How was yours?
